ENSEMBLE THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS...

Our next show will be the musical showcase Backward Broadway!

Written by our own Suzy Neal, this show is inspired by “Broadway Backwards” which began as a grassroots concert performed at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Centre in New York in 2006. It saw Broadway stars celebrate great musical numbers by retelling them with gender roles reversed, and it was so successful that the event quickly grew and now is performed every year in a Broadway theatre, raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Ensemble Theatre Company will be performing a range of beloved musical hits from popular musical shows such as Guys and Dolls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago, Grease and South Pacific... to name a few. Only in this show the idea of gender is removed entirely, with women and men singing numbers they would never usually have the opportunity to!

It is set to be a wonderful fun-filled show. The plan is to perform this show at our beloved venue the Fleckney Village Hall which was recently substantially damaged by localised flooding. Restoration efforts are in full-swing and as soon as we receive confirmation regarding our show booking, tickets will be released. So watch this space and keep those dates in your diary!!
